Where did the name “Apollonia” come from?

Apollonia Dental’s (Sugar Land Dental practice) name is inspired by Apollonia, the Patron Saint of Dentistry. She was a woman who refused to compromise her principles.*

“Saint Apollonia, was a deaconess of advanced age and noted sanctity who suffered martyrdom during the persecution of Decius about 248-249. She is invoked against toothaches and dental diseases.”

Prayer: Lord God, You showered heavenly gifts on St. Apollonia. Help us to imitate her virtue during our earthly life and enjoy eternal happiness with her in heaven. Amen.

Feast Day: February 9th
